- The Personal Information We Collect
In the course of using Lendsnap, you will provide us with personally identifiable information (“PII”) and nonpublic personal information (“NPI”). PII refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you, and information on your use of and activities at our Site that may be connected with your NPI. PII may also include information you supply to us concerning your preferences and interests expressed in the course of your use of Lendsnap.
NPI that we collect and disclose to nonaffiliated third parties may include, but is not limited to, credit card or other billing information. Other NPI collected include:
- Social Security Number, as provided;
- Account balances;
- Payment history, as indicated on submitted bank statements;
- Transaction history, as provided on latest two statements of each financial account;
- Assets, only as may be derived from bank statements;
- Overdraft history, as described on the past two bank statements;
- Account transactions, as derived from submitted bank account statements;
- Purchase history;
- Mortgage rates and payments;
- Retirement assets;
- Checking account information;
- Employment information.
In addition to the above, NPI may also include when you upload documents or other content (“Content”), we will store information about the Content including information you supply in the form of tags as well as information we generate from analyzing the files. This information is used to index your Content, making it possible for you to easily sort and search through it. We collect information when you:
- Apply for a loan;
- Apply for insurance;
- Pay insurance premiums or file an insurance claim as it relates to property, title, or private mortgage insurance as required for closing the mortgage;
- Provide income information;
- Provide employment information;
- Provide employment history;
- Provide investment or retirement portfolio;
- Provide investment or retirement earnings, as may be derived from account statements;
- Apply for financing;
- Apply for a lease;
- Provide account information;
- Provide contact information;
- Provide mortgage information;
- Provide wage statements;
- Provide mortgage information
- Provide your driver’s license; and,
- Show us your government-issued ID.
Collected NPI also includes “cookies.” When you visit Lendsnap, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This information may include your computer’s Internet Protocol address, browser type, the web page you were visiting before you came to our Site and information you search for on our Site. Like many websites, we may also use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We may use “persistent cookies” to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to Lendsnap; and we use “session ID cookies” to enable certain features of Lendsnap, to better understand how you interact with Lendsnap and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on Lendsnap. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of Lendsnap or all functionality of our services.
- How We Use PII and NPI
PII is or may be used for the following purposes: (i) to provide and improve our Site, services, features and content, (ii) to administer your use of our Site, (iii) to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate Lendsnap, (iv) to better understand your needs and interests, (v) to fulfill requests you may make, (vi) to personalize your experience, (vii) to provide or offer software updates and product announcements, and (viii) to provide you with further information and offers from us or third parties that we believe you may find useful or interesting, including newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information on services and products offered by us or third parties. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive any such communications, please follow the “unsubscribe” instructions provided in any of the communications sent to you, or update your “account settings” information. (See “Changing or Deleting Information,” below.).
We collect NPI from other companies and compile NPI provided by consumers in order to streamline the loan process. NPI collected will be transmitted to non-affiliated banks and mortgage companies so that the banks and mortgage companies may make decisions on granting or denying loans.
- Information Sharing and Disclosure
Lendsnap Users. We will display your PII in your profile page and elsewhere on Lendsnap according to the preferences you set in your account. You can review and revise your profile information at any time. We do not disclose the NPI of former customers.
Service Providers, Business Partners and Others. We share NPI with the following types of companies, such as mortgage companies and banks offering loans. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our service and to collect NPI, to provide the service on our behalf, to perform Site-related services (including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of Lendsnap’s features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Site and service are used. These third parties have access to your PII and NPI, including your Content, but only to the extent necessary to perform these tasks on our behalf. We make disclosures to other nonaffiliated companies for your everyday business purposes, such as to process transactions, maintain account(s), respond to court orders and legal investigations, or report to credit bureaus, among other activities. Lendsnap does not jointly market.
Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. Lendsnap cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Lendsnap or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable.
Business Transfers. Lendsnap may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.
- Changing or Deleting Your Information
You may review, update, correct or delete the PII provided in your registration or account profile by changing your “account settings.”
Lendsnap is very concerned with safeguarding your information. We employ reasonable measures designed to protect your PII and your NPI from unauthorized access.
- Communicating with you
We may contact you via electronic means or postal mail to notify you regarding your account and/or your loan application, to troubleshoot problems with your account and/or loan application, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, or as otherwise necessary to service you. Additionally, we may contact you to offer coupons, discounts and promotions, and inform you about Lendsnap’s Services and the services of our associated loan officers or banks. Finally, we may contact you as necessary to enforce our policies, applicable law, or any agreement we may have with you. When contacting you via phone, to reach you as efficiently as possible we may use, and you consent to receive, autodialed or prerecorded calls and text messages. Where applicable and permitted by law, you may decline to receive certain communications.
When you apply for a loan with an affiliated lender, you provide them with your name, email address and phone number. The loan officers forward this information to Lendsnap when using Lendsnap to process your application. If you provide us with your mobile phone number in that way, you agree that Lendsnapp and its partners may contact you at that number using autodialed or prerecorded calls or text messages to: (i) service your Lendsnap accounts, or (ii) further your loan application. We will not use autodialed or prerecorded calls or texts to contact you for marketing purposes unless we receive your prior express written consent. We may share your mobile phone number with service providers with whom we contract to assist us with the activities listed above, but we will not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own purposes without your consent. You do not have to agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded calls or texts to your mobile phone number in order to use and enjoy the products and services offered by Lendsnap. You can decline to receive autodialed or prerecorded calls or texts to your mobile phone number in several ways, including in your account settings at https://lendsnap.com, by contacting customer support or by calling us at 1-844-684-2385. Standard telephone minute and text charges may apply.
You understand and agree that, to the extent permitted by law, Lendsnap may, without further notice or warning, monitor or record telephone conversations you or anyone acting on your behalf has with Lendsnap, the loan officer or an agent for quality control and training purposes or for our own protection. You acknowledge and understand that while your communications with Lendsnap may be overheard, monitored, or recorded not all telephone lines or calls may be recorded by Lendsnap, and Lendsnap does not guarantee that recordings of any particular telephone calls will be retained or retrievable.
- Contacting Us
